The Life with ADHD Book Series – eBook and Audiobook

ADHD is more visible than ever.
Still, it can feel like standing alone in a storm.

I never expected to be diagnosed as an adult. I had managed. Performed. Functioned.
Yet, in meeting the healthcare system, I felt small — and I know many feel even smaller.

This is why I wrote the Life with ADHD series.
To make things a little easier — for those living with ADHD, and for those standing beside them.

📘 What are the books about?

The series explores what we know — and do not yet know — about ADHD today.

Drawing on professional knowledge, lived experience, and conversations with clinicians, the books reflect on how ADHD can appear very differently from person to person, and across different stages of life.

Themes include:

  • Why so many are misunderstood — and may lose their footing before receiving help
  • What life with ADHD can feel like, from childhood to elderhood
  • What may actually help — and why small changes can matter greatly

Life with ADHD can be both a heavy burden and a profound strength.
Understanding more often makes it easier to live well.

👥 Who are these books for?

The series is written especially for those who have — or wonder if they might have — ADHD.

It may also be helpful for:

  • Family members and friends who wish to understand more
  • Professionals, educators, and others supporting people with ADHD

The books are written in a clear, accessible style and richly illustrated —
for those who want an overview, and for those who recognise themselves in the stories.

The illustrations were created in collaboration with Erik S. Landsem (@elanseye),
and with support from Kåre Ivar (ChatGPT), unless otherwise stated.

💬 Why this project matters to me

My aim is not to offer definitive answers,
but to offer insight — and recognition.

To remind us how important it is to be met as a person,
not as a problem.

And, if you recognise yourself here,
I hope you may feel a little less alone from now on.
