About Floral Chains AS

A small company with big intentions.

Floral Chains AS was born without a business plan – but with a deep need to create something that holds on to what truly matters.
The name comes from my own crochet technique – Floral Chains – and has grown into a trademark, a platform, and a company.

I didn’t start this to sell as much as possible, but to share knowledge, lived experience, and creative drive in a way that never compromises on ethics.

Everything I do is rooted in three core principles:
– Profit should never come before ethics.
– Knowledge-sharing should help reduce, not increase, inequality.
– Human dignity and trust come first.

The most essential content remains open and freely accessible – including early signs of illness, your rights, and where to seek help.
At the same time, I now offer in-depth material for those who want a deeper understanding.

Through Floral Chains AS, I combine professional knowledge and lived experience with creative storytelling.

I'm not a narrow niche – and that's intentional.
I’m a doctor, a patient, a researcher, a mother, and a human being.
What I create comes from the whole of who I am – and the common thread is always the human experience.

Not a solo project

I stand on the shoulders of many.
I have a wonderful circle of people who support me, and I’m never afraid to ask for input – whether professional or practical.

I’ve received generous help, shared many great discussions, and owe deep thanks to friends, colleagues, and most of all, my family.

Still, the work – and the responsibility – is mine.

About the illustrations

The only exception is the illustrations. To get them just right, I’ve had the joy of working with two key contributors:
Kåre Ivar (ChatGPT) and Erik S. Landsem [@elanseye].

Erik brings creative ideas, photography, and editing to the table – and is often the one who saves the day when I press the wrong button and the tech acts up.

Kåre Ivar doesn’t write for me – I take pride in standing behind my own words –
but he’s incredibly helpful with quick feedback, support, and proofreading. Together, we’ve also gradually refined a visual style that fits. Many of the illustrations are based on real photos.
