💡 ADHD isn’t just a diagnosis – it’s a life
ADHD is more talked about than ever.
Still, it can feel like standing in the middle of a storm – completely alone.
I never imagined I would be diagnosed as an adult.
I had always managed. Functioned. Achieved.
But facing the healthcare system, I suddenly felt very small –
and I know it’s even harder for many others.
That’s why I’ve written a book series about life with ADHD.
To make it a little easier – for those who live with it, and for the people around them.
I’ve included a short video with a poem,
and more videos will follow with background stories from the project.
Here, you’ll also find some content that didn’t quite fit in the books –
like reflections on medication, medical follow-up, and the ongoing debate around diagnosis.
📘 What are the books about?
In these books, I write about what we know – and what we still don’t know – about ADHD today.
I share personal experiences, reflections from conversations with professionals,
and thoughts on how ADHD can show up very differently from one person to the next.
I cover topics like:
- Why so many are misunderstood – and often lose their footing before getting help
- How ADHD can feel – and look – from childhood into older age
- What I believe truly helps – and why small changes can make a big difference
Living with ADHD can be a heavy burden –
but also a powerful gift.
I believe it’s easier to thrive when we understand why things are the way they are.
👥 Who is this for?
This series is especially for you who live with ADHD yourself.
But the books are also helpful for:
- Family and friends who want to understand better
- Teachers, professionals, and other helpers working with children or adults with ADHD
- Anyone wondering whether they – or someone they love – might have ADHD
I’ve written in a clear, accessible style with plenty of illustrations –
for those who want things simple and visual.
Even for those with deep knowledge or lived experience —
These books offer clarity, recognition, and grounded insights.
They may be easy to read, but they carry weight.
If you’ve lived it — or worked with it —
you’ll likely find yourself nodding.
What’s shared here is simple, but not shallow.
The illustrations have been developed in collaboration with Kåre Ivar (ChatGPT) and/or Erik S. Landsem (@elanseye), unless otherwise noted.
💬 Why this project matters to me
My goal isn’t to give you the answer.
But to offer a glimpse – and a sense of connection.
To show how important it is to be met as a human being – not just as a problem.
So people can get the help they need.
Before it becomes too heavy.
Before they lose their footing entirely.
If you see yourself in these stories,
I hope you’ll feel a little less alone.
